OVAL CANCELLATIONS ON CIP COVERS

'Oval' cancels was only used for a short time by a few towns during the early CIP period. While Peking and Kiaochow are common, other towns are much harder to find.
Oval cancels of Chinwangtao, Peking, Shunte & Weihsien can be found on other pages as receiving and transit cancels Below are a few other examples.

Oval WEIHSIEN of SEP 12 1899 and oval KIAOCHOW of SEP13 1899 transit alongside. 
The 10 pf on the card was cancelled by a TSINTAU cancel of 16/9 99 for the out going postage to Germany.
